Mihos To Run For Governor in 2010

Christy Mihos has announced he will challenge Deval Patrick (should he be around) in 2010.

Gov. Deval Patrick hasn’t even reached the midpoint of his first term and he already has his first challenger.

Christy Mihos, who ran as an independent candidate in 2006, says he’s planning to try again in 2010.

Mihos, a Cape Cod convenience store owner, made the announcement Monday night during an interview on WATD-FM.

Patrick has repeatedly said he hopes to run for a second term, brushing off suggestions that he might be interested in a position in Washington if Barack Obama is elected president.

Mihos, a former Republican, was a familiar face during the 2006 campaign, where he spent nearly as much time criticizing Republican candidate Kerry Healey as he did Patrick.

Mihos garnered 7 percent of the vote.

Mr. Mihos, how about an interview?

Perhaps this time the Mass G.O.P. will nominate a pro-lifer, as both Deval and Christy are pro-choice. Otherwise, the party deserves a miserable defeat like in 2006.

Those Pro-life R’s conveniently forget that life continues after birth…they are against health ins. clean air, minimum wages…get the picture Mr. Pro-Life? They are using the issue to get the evangelicals on their side…how many abortions have been stopped since GEORGE II came into office? None! Comment mr. pro-Life?

You can fall into that same old rhetoric all you want. But I don’t want clean air, minimum wages, health insurance if it means I have to give this stupid state all of my income. I suppose you are a person who believes a 10 percent income tax is more appropriate so we all pay our “obligation”.
