Welcome to the new Hub Politics! We’re excited about this upgrade, which should benefit everyone. All of our blog entries have been imported, so you may continue the conversation where you left off before.
Here’s a short list of what’s new at Hub Politics:
New Server
Hub Politics is on a new server. We’re now on a dedicated box reserved for all of my blog projects.
We’re On WordPress
The biggest change you’ll notice is that we’ve changed blog platforms. Hub Politics was originally running on Movable Type. The new Hub Politics is built on WordPress. For us, this means no more “rebuilding” of blog entries and templates. The only downside to this is that permalinks to blog entries on the original Hub Politics will be broken. But, we felt this was a small price to pay given the overall benefits of switching to WordPress.
Tags
Now that we’ve switched to WordPress, we’re planning to make use of tags, as well as categories, to better organize our content.
Other New Features
To better protect us from spam, you’ll have to enter a CAPTCHA phrase. This should also stop spam attacks from taking down the server.
You’ll also notice the Digg box and the other icons at the end of each post. This will make it easier for you to share content from Hub Politics on your favorite networking sites.
Another clever feature we have, thanks to WordPress plugins, is an automatically generated list of similar posts for each blog entry to make it easier for you to find other blog posts you may want to comment on.
And more new features will be rolled out soon. In the meantime, enjoy the new and improved Hub Politics and let us know what you think.

very cool.
Hate the captcha.
Looks good, you agree V?
I’m warming up to it Mr. X.
The CAPTCHA is a necessary evil. We tried to keep the template as close to the original, and it certainly does maintain the original quality of the original, but I think this is still an improvement.
The transition should be complete for pretty much everyone now…
Soon to follow will be upgrades to Deval Patrick Watch and SaveWRKO.
Where’s the blogroll, dude?
Being on yours was my chief claim to fame!
It’s in the sidebar. Don’t worry, you’re there!
