SJC Could Learn Something From Maryland

Looks like the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court could learn something from the Maryland Court of Appeals.
In a 4-to-3 decision, the Maryland Court of Appeals Tuesday upheld a state law defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman, putting an end to a challenge by same-sex couples who claimed they were denied equal protection under the law.The court said the state’s 1973 ban on same-sex marriage does not discriminate on the basis of gender, nor does it deny any fundamental rights. The court also left the door open for state lawmakers to address the issue.

Looks like the Maryland Court of Appeals should have learned a lesson from the Mass. SJC. Come on - 4-3 one way or 4-3 the other. Shall we call the majority in the Maryland decision “activists” too?
