Today marks two occasions for all of us at Hub Politics. First, today is the 231st anniversary of our nation’s independence. The second, it is the two-year anniversary of the launch of Hub Politics, which launched on July 4, 2005 with this post.
Two years ago, we launched this blog with the goal of creating a new conservative voice in the Massachusetts blogosphere. It has been our pleasure for the past two years to do what we can to help make the Commonwealth a better place. Things got really exciting during last year’s gubernatorial election, and while that may not have turned out for the best, it was an honor to take part in the election the way we did.
Since the election, we have launched two sister sites, Deval Patrick Watch and Save WRKO, and we hope to see the Hub Politics Blog Network continue to grow.
Happy Independence Day!

I applaud you on trying to educate the public regarding the leftists that have hijacked are state government along with the typical Boston crooks. Still, I feel that being a conservative in Massachusetts has turned into a bad thing. In the past I have had homsexuals throw things at me, recieved threatning phone calls, even forced to leave a job for wanting to put liberty and family values first. The looney left scares me, they think that nothing is above them and feel that they can do and say to whome ever they want. The are like the British if you think about it, they don’t care what the average citizen struggling to live thinks or cares about. They laugh at us and teach our children perversion. They take over our neighborhoods and drive out those who believe in the old school Massachusetts way of our grandparents. These people are the real opressors and this July 4 lets remember this, despite what they say, there are more of us then them. If your not politicallt active, get involved. If your sick and tired of seeing gang members get luxury housing in your towns while you struggle to pay the bills, get involved. If your sick and tired of teachers indoctrinating your children at a young age with their agenda, stand up. We used to have class and our people were known as ones who had pride and tradition. Today we are the laughing stock of the country and were powerless to the rule of a few wealthy people. Our streets are flooded with people who shouldn’t be here, and were paying for it out of our hard earned paychecks. Aren’t you sick of the nonsense and the hypocracy. The uber wealthy who claim to be so liberal while living in whites only neighborhoods have control, not you. This is a call to everyone, African Americans who are being exploited by being made into social policy test experiments, Latin Americans whose names are being tarnished by the support of those who came here illegally, Asian Americans who came here because they desire the idea that working hard will pay off, and everyone else who feels like their state is one big communist state with a ruling elite who gives a rats ass about us. Lets start now and send Deval back to the rough streets of Milton and put a leader in who listens to all sides and actually understands what America is about (its not about taxing the living hell out of working people, laughing at their beliefs that you disagree with, and its not about giving free handouts to underserving people). Welcome to our nations 231 birthday Deval and co, enjoy the fireworks because next election day you won’t be walking around with that smug look anymore.
Cheers to America!!!!!!
Cheers to HUB Politics!!! Thanks.. Matt and Aaron!!
As you celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Hub Politics, be sure to celebrate the outstanding leadership of Mayor Tom Menino and Boston Police officers for achieving a huge reduction in serious crime.
Thank you Mr. Mayor, thank you to our brave police officers and God Bless America!

Crime is down, did Enron help them come up with those numbers. On a side note I was at the fireworkds tonite and felt so great when I heard songs about America. Across the river though, I could have sworn I heard the Cantabridgians playing “Back in the USSR”. Do they even celebrate the Forth of July over there?
Congratulations. You do a great job.
