John Kerry Lying About Being Sorry

by Matt Margolis, November 5th, 2006 at 11:48am

John Kerry would like us to believe that his insult to our troops was a “botched joke.” He’d also like us to believe that he’s sorry if anyone was offended for “misinterpreting” his “botched joke.” But is he really sorry? If you look at his website, it’s clear that not only is he not sorry, but he’s standing behind his insult to our troops.

For starters, posted on his website is an editorial from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer titled “Kerry’s Remark: Right either way.” Currently on the main page is a series of featured editorials, the first one titled “Insulting Our Troops, and Our Intelligence,” from the New York Times, and guess what? It ain’t talking about Kerry.

Clearly, Kerry is not sorry for what he said, and he is on a desperate quest to undo the damage to his political capital by posting articles defending his comments, calling him right, etc. etc. John Kerry clearly cares more about his pride than about the troops overseas.

I thought it was funny that a bunch of dumb enlisted soldiers made a sign for John Kerry. But the sign showed how uneducated the enlisted soldiers were because it had spelling errors.

When I deserted the Korean War they had a bright military. The Korean War conflict was filled with drafted skilled and educated citizens. Not just hacks trying to get their education paid for or parents trying to get their kids of drugs and MTV.

Very, very sad. It is a sad commentary for this military today.

Give me a beak. Kerry tried to make a joke. It failed. The ironic thing is that he “said” in mistake what republicans “think” about those who end up fighting as soldiers in Iraq. This is just another example of the GOP projecting their behavior.

When you go about your lives, you should stop and think, “What would the GOP do?” and do the opposite!!!

What are you talking about? This post makes no sense. He didn’t think he did anything wrong and is pointing out other people who thought the same.

Look, he is clearly a horrible politician, and I hope he never runs for another office in his life. But jesus, you people are just stupid.

Wow, I cannot believe there are people still trying to defend Kerry and make excuses for him. You guys aren’t just defending a conceited politician, you are making yourselves look ridiculous swallowing his excuses and versions of what actually happened.
