by Aaron Margolis, September 19th, 2006 at 07:31pm

I am spending the primary night with my likeminded brethren of the Republican Party at the Sheraton Boston Hotel for the Primary Night Celebration with Lt. Governor Kerry Healey and Reed Hillman.
Meanwhile, Matt will be participating in CBS4’s dpecial primary night webcast from 8pm to 10:30pm.
UPDATE 7:45: 15 minutes until the polls close…. stay tuned for updates.
UPDATE 8:18: Initial results with 1% reporting… not even worth mentioning at this point. More results and reactions from the Healey Primary Night Party to follow.
UPDATE 9:00: 38 News calls the race for Patrick with 11% reporting
UPDATE 12:47 AM: Back from the Primary Party…full report to come later…
UPDATE 1:07 AM, by MATT MARGOLIS: I’m also back from the CBS4 Webcast. Actually, it ended at 10:30, but didn’t get home until after midnight. I’ll give my full report on the webcast after I get some sleep.

I got an invite too, but I was unable to attend. :{ I hope they send them out for the election night.

Yep, they could have nominated an electable candidate in Chris Gabrieli. And, that’s “electable” as defined by normal people.
Instead the lemmings predictably went with their own definition of “electable”, and handed the reins to the Healey/Hillman ticket.
Thanks, guys.

This will be a hard, brutal race. I am confident that Kerry Healey will defeat Deval Patrick on November 7, but before we get to that point, Deval’s Advocates will be as grotesque as all get-out in their rhetorical assaults against Healey and the Republicans. They will bring every Democratic weapon in their arsenal. They will demonize her beyond all reason. We will see one of the most vicious campaigns in Bay State history–but contrary to the “conventional wisdom”, it will be all from Deval’s side. Healey’s going to win–but my fellow Republicans, get ready for bear. Get ready for bear.
