As we recently reported that there was a possible campaign finance violation by the Mihos campaign, it looks like there may be another less obscure campaign finance rule that may cause the campaign some headaches.
Seems Christy Mihos has forgotten fund-raising rule number one: Government employees are forbidden from throwing you a “time.”
As even the lowliest of hacks knows, state campaign and political finance rules explicitly prohibit public employees from political fund raising. Any money raised at the Tosca affair likely will have to be returned because Innis’ name appears on the invitation.
Which means it’s going to be one expensive meal for the convenience store king.
Let’s see how this one pans out.
