It’s Neck-and-Neck-and-Neck In Democrat Governor’s Race

CBS4Boston reports that a new poll shows all three Democrat candidates for governor are in a statistical tie for their party’s nomination.
An exclusive new poll in the Massachusetts governor’s race, shows a statistical tie between the three Democratic candidates. The poll of 421 likely Democratic voters found Tom Reilly just barely out in front with 32%, followed by Chris Gabrieli at 29% and Deval Patrick at 28%. The poll has a margin of error of 4.9%, putting all three candidates very much in the running.
Considering Gabrieli’s late entrance into the race, I am shocked he’s doing so well. Clearly, Massachusetts Democrats weren’t particularly loyal to Reilly or Patrick. A three-way tie indicates to me that none of the Democrats are particularly strong candidates.

Gabrielly picked up a lot of points because of his recent media buy. For the majority of voters who aren’t paying attention, he’s not a latecomer; he’s the first person they’ve paid attention to. Any poll at this point means very little (though that doesn’t stop us from analyzing the hell out of them).
P.S. I love the design of this site

I agree it’s pretty surprising, it would indicate a lot of weakness for Reilly and Patrick support.
